Our apologies for posting this late: the Gun-A-Week raffle winner for week 26 was Russ Johnson of Etna, Wyoming. For being lucky enough to have his ticket selected at random, Russ took home a Weatherby Vanguard Synthetic .338 rifle.

The days are getting longer, baseball is in the air, and we’re looking forward to another spectacular season of Cal Ripken Baseball in Jackson!

If your son or daughter is between the ages of 7 and 12 this is the program for you. The structure of the league will be identical to the prior years:

Rookie League – Coach Pitch, 7 & 8 year olds, Games Tuesday & Thursday
Minor League – 9 & 10 year olds, Games Tuesday & Thursday
Major League – 11 & 12 year olds, Games Monday & Wednesday

Practices will start the week of April 30th with regular season play starting the week of May 7th. The season will end by June 30th.

Tryouts for the Minor League will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 and tryouts for the Major League will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Both tryouts will be held at 5:00pm at the Alpine Field between the Middle School and the new Colter Elementary School. In case of rain or snow the tryouts will be held in doors at the Middle School Gyms.

Rookie league players do not tryout; they will attend 3 camp-style practices April 30th, May 2nd, and May 7th from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Alpine Field between the Middle School and the new Colter Elementary School.

For those players who desire more baseball and a higher level of play, the league will also have an All-Star Travel program for the 9 & 10 and 11 & 12 year old divisions.
