The 14-year-old Babe Ruth travel team picked up a couple of wins on Sunday in Riverton, knocking off the host team 12-6 then beating Casper’s Bar Nunn 21-15. The Jackson boys took advantage of consecutive RBI singles from Christian Doyle, Cody Haskin and Andy Renz in a seven-run seventh inning to take the lead against Riverton. Doyle pitched three and a third innings of scoreless relief to notch the win, while Haskin and Renz each went 3-for-4 at the plate. Marc Rossolo added an RBI and scored three times to help the cause. Against Casper, a seven-run second inning and a nine-run third put Jackson ahead, while Dusty Treick gave up just two hits in three innings of relief to earn the victory. Doyle went 4-for-5 with eight RBIs, including a 3-run double in the second, and Renz was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and three runs scored in the game. Rossolo was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
