Jackson Giants Roll Over Riverton Raiders at Season Opener in Riverton

May 25, 2010

The 2010 Jackson Giants baseball season got underway in typical Wyoming fashion as after an interesting 3 hour road trip over steep mountain passes with strong winds and a mixture of rain and snow, our Hometown Heroes arrived at the Riverton Raiders home field ready to get the rights of spring started.  Marc Rossolo got right down to business as he worked a full count walk and then promptly stole second and advanced to 3rd on a fielding error from Chris Callahan who misjudged a high fly ball hit by Andy Renz.  Rossolo then scored on a wild pitch from Raiders pitcher, Greg Timlin.  All this set the stage for the left-handed cleanup hitter, Ethan Moulder who during his first at bat for the season, lifted a 3-1 fastball deep over the centerfield fence for a 390 foot 2 run homerun. more»
