Billings Halos Captures Lead Early To Defeat Post 43 Giants

Post 43 Giants 18U fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-7 loss to Billings Halos on Saturday. Billings Halos scored on a walk by #32 and a single by #15 in the first inning.

Despite the loss, Post 43 Giants did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Billings Halos had nine hits on the way to victory.

The Halos captured the lead in the first inning when #34‘s sac fly scored the first run.

The Giants scored four runs in the fourth inning. It all started with a single by Brian Feuz, a walk by Gus Armijo, and a single by Seth Christiansen.

The Halos scored eight runs in the second inning. This big inning came thanks to a single by #20, a double by #32, a single by #15, a single by #10, and a single by #34.

Aaron Villa took the loss for Post 43 Giants. He pitched one and one-third innings, allowing eight runs, and four hits.

For the Giants, Christiansen went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.

#34, #3, and #15 each collected multiple hits for Billings Halos. Billings didn’t commit a single error in the field. #37 had three chances in the field, the most on the team.
