Bleggi Throws Shutout As Post 43 Giants 18U Defeats Billings Angels

Anthony Bleggi didn’t allow a single run as Post 43 Giants 18U defeated Billings Angels 10-0 on Thursday. Bleggi allowed just three hits and induced a fly out from #4 to end the game.

Post 43 Giants 18U didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Nate Fairbanks singled on a 0-1 count in the sixth inning, scoring one run.

The Giants scored seven runs in the seventh inning. The scoring started on a fielder’s choice by Clayton Campbell, a single by Quentin Bruno, a groundout , and a single by Mac Hollingsworth.

One bright spot for Billings Angels was a single by #9 in the fourth inning.

Anthony Bleggi earned the win for Post 43 Giants 18U. He tossed seven innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, striking out two, and walking zero.

The Giants had ten hits in the game. Hollingsworth and Fairbanks each collected multiple hits while Bruno led the team with two runs batted in and went 1-for-3 on the day. The Giants tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Hollingsworth led the way with three.

#9 led Billings Angels with two hits in three at bats.
