Post 43 Giants 18U Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Riverton

Post 43 Giants 18U defeated Riverton 13-5 in a back-and-forth affair on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Post 43 Giants 18U batting in the bottom of the fourth when Aaron Villadoubled off of #1, driving in two runs.

Riverton captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Riverton .

The Giants scored five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was driven by a walk by Gus Armijo, a walk by Matt Ellingson, a walk by Aaron Villa, and a single by Jon Fisher.

Ellingson earned the win for the Giants. He tossed two innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, striking out two, and walking one.  Villa started the game and pitched three innings, allowing five runs, five hits, and striking out three.

Post 43 Giants 18U collected seven hits. Feuz and Fisher had two hits to lead Post 43 Giants 18U.

#5 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Riverton in hits.
