Post 43 Giants 18U Can’t Hold Up Against Cheyenne Post 6

Post 43 Giants 18U had trouble keeping up with Cheyenne Post 6 in a 19-2 loss on Thursday.

The Giants took an early lead in the first inning. Brian Feuz's sac fly scored the first run.

Cheyenne Post 6 took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second #13 singled off of Feuz, driving in one run, Feuz induced #8 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Feuz uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run.

Cheyenne Post 6 scored eight runs in the third inning. The big inning was driven by a double , a single by #13, a single by #8, a single by #3, a single by #16, and a groundout.

Feuz took the loss for Jackson. He threw two and a third innings, surrendering nine runs, seven hits, and striking out one.

Post 43 Giants had ten hits in the game. Aaron Villa, Jon Fisher, and Mac Hollingsworth each collected multiple hits for Post 43 Giants 18U. Feuz led Post 43 Giants 18U with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-2 on the day.

Cheyenne Post 6 collected 17 hits. #13, #16, #6, #1, and #37 each collected multiple hits for Cheyenne Post 6. Cheyenne Post 6 didn't commit a single error in the field. #37 had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
