Post 43 18U Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Boise Cannons

Post 43 Giants 18U ran off with the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over Boise Cannons on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Post 43 batting in the bottom of the sixth when Javen King doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

The Giants earned the victory despite allowing Boise Cannons to score three runs in the second inning. Boise Cannons scored its runs on a double by #2.

Post 43 fired up the offense in the first inning. King drove in one when he singled.

Boise Cannons evened things up at three in the top of the second inning. #2 doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs.

Anthony Bleggi took the win. He lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out five. Seth Christiansen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Christiansen recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

#10 started the game for Boise Cannons. He surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings. #11 threw one inning out of the bullpen.

The Giants 18U racked up eight hits on the day. Quentin Bruno and King each racked up multiple hits. King and Bruno all had two hits to lead the team.

Boise Cannons had eight hits in the game. #4, #14, and #2 all managed multiple hits for Boise Cannons.
