Post 43 Giants Giants 18U Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Casper. They snagged a late lead and defeated Casper 8-4 on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Post 43 batting in the top of the sixth when an error scored two runs.
Post 43 Giants earned the victory despite allowing Casper to score four runs in the second inning. Casper offense in the inning was led by #7, #29, and #31, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Casper captured the lead in the second inning when #31 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Post 43 Giants evened things up at four in the top of the fourth inning when Matt Ellingson doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Brian Feuz got the start for Post 43. He lasted three innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out three.
#31 was on the hill for Casper. He went five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out four. #21 and #19 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
Post 43 Giants saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Quentin Bruno, Evan McHugh, and Jon Fisher all had multiple hits. Bruno led the team with three hits in four at bats.

Rock Springs scored five runs in the fifth inning, but Post 43 Giants 18U still won 9-6 on Monday. The offensive firepower by Rock Springs was led by #8, #12, #10, #13, and #7, all driving in runs in the frame.
Post 43 collected 14 hits and Rock Springs had seven in the high-scoring affair.
The Giants got things started in the first inning when Nate Fairbanks singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Javen King was on the pitcher’s mound for the Giants. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one.
#20 led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Rock Springs. He went three innings, allowing six runs on ten hits and striking out one. #13 threw four innings in relief.
The Giants had 14 hits in the game. Quentin Bruno, Fairbanks, Evan McHugh, Jon Fisher, and Brian Feuz each had multiple. Fairbanks and Bruno each collected three hits to lead the team.
#11 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Rock Springs in hits.

Post 43 Giants 18U couldn’t keep up with Laramie and fell 18-3 on Sunday.
Laramie took the lead for good with ten runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored three runs for Laramie, #5’s sac fly scored one run for Laramie, #3 singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, #7 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored two runs for Laramie, and an error scored two runs for Laramie.
#18 got the start for Laramie. He allowed two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out three.
Anthony Bleggi was on the hill for Post 43. He allowed one hit and four runs over two innings, striking out five. Aaron Moya, Connor Lang, and Quentin Bruno each contributed in relief for the Giants.
Matt Ellingson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 43 in hits.
Laramie saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. #6 and #7 each had multiple hits for Laramie. #6 led Laramie with three hits in five at bats. Laramie was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. #6 had the most chances in the field with seven.

The Post 43 Giants are the number 2 seed from the west and will play their first game Sunday, July 29 at 4:00pm on Powers Field.

Post 43 Giants 18U fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-0 loss to Casper on Tuesday. Casper took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
The Giants struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Casper, giving up eight runs.
Casper opened up scoring in the first inning. #23 homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
A single by Nate Fairbanks in the second inning was a positive for Post 43.
#31 was on the mound for Casper. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Brian Feuz was on the hill for Post 43. He went six innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out six and walking zero. Quentin Bruno threw one inning in relief.
Casper hit two home runs on the day. #23 went for the long ball in the first inning. #5 had a four bagger in the seventh inning.
Fairbanks and Bruno each collected one hit to lead the Giants.

Both teams were strong on the mound Tuesday, but Post 43 Giants 18U defeated Casper 3-1. Giants pitchers allowed just six hits to Casper.
The Giants got on the board in the first inning when Quentin Bruno singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Nate Fairbanks was the winning pitcher. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out two. Seth Christiansen threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Christiansen recorded the last six outs to earn the save.
#8 started the game for Casper. He surrendered three runs on four hits over six innings, striking out ten.
Jon Fisher led Post 43 with two hits in three at bats. Post 43 Giants didn’t commit a single error in the field. Bruno had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.
#8 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Casper in hits.

Javen King showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in five on three hits to lead Post 43 past Evanston 12-3 on Saturday. King drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the fourth, and a single in the sixth.

Post 43 notched four runs in the fourth inning. King, Nate Fairbanks, and Seth Christiansen all drove in runs in the frame.
Fairbanks pitched Post 43 to victory. He allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning.
#5 led things off on the hill for Evanston. He surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings. #18, #3, #10, and #40 each entered the game as relief, throwing two innings, one and two-thirds innings, one inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.
