Post 43 Giants watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 3-0 loss to Nampa Chiefs on Saturday. Nampa Chiefs took the lead on a single in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Nampa Chiefs pitchers struck out five, while Post 43 sat down two.

One bright spot for the Giants was a single by Matt Ellingson in the fourth inning.
#10 got the start for Nampa Chiefs. He allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five.
Anthony Bleggi led things off on the hill for Post 43. He allowed seven hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two. Evan McHugh threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Ellingson led the Giants with one hit in three at bats.
Nampa Chiefs scattered seven hits in the game. #2 and #5 all had multiple hits for the Chiefs.
