Post 43 Giants 18U Defeat Meridian, 4-2, and Place 7th in 21 Team Tournament in Boise.

IMG_9376Post 43 Giants 18U got things moving in the first inning, when Quentin Bruno singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Post 43 pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Gus Armijo doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Connor Lang took the win for Post 43 Giants Giants 18U. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three innings, striking out one. Will Walker threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Walker recorded the last six outs to earn the save.

#9 toed the rubber for Meridian. He lasted four innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one. #15 threw two innings out of the bullpen.

Jon Fisher started the game for the Giants. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one

Bruno went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 43 Giants Giants 18U in hits.

Meridian had four hits in the game. #4 and #15 each managed multiple hits for Meridian. Meridian didn’t commit a single error in the field. #15 had the most chances in the field with six.
