Tuesday’s game against Cody was a heartbreaker for Post 43, as they lost the lead late in a 10-4 defeat. The game was tied at four with Cody batting in the bottom of the sixth when #33 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Post 43 struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Cody , giving up ten runs.
Cody took an early lead in the first inning. Cody scored two runs when #3 homered.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Cody tied things up at four when #14 hit a solo homer.
Cody took the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth #5 singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and #20 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Cody scored three runs in the eighth inning. Cody scored its runs on a home run by #20.
#18 was on the hill for Cody . He went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Gus Armijo led things off on the hill for the Giants. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one and walking zero. Will Walker and Connor Lang entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and two-thirds innings and two and a third innings respectively.
