Early Lead For Sheridan Seals Fate For Post 43 Giants 18U

April 30, 2018

Post 43 Giants 18U fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-3 loss to Sheridan on Sunday. Sheridan scored on a single by #10 and a wild pitch by #4 in the first inning.

Sheridan fired up the offense in the first inning. Sheridan scored one run when #10 singled.

#12 led things off on the rubber for Sheridan. He went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six.

Gus Armijo toed the rubber for Post 43 Giants 18U. He went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out one. Connor Lang threw three innings in relief.

Matt Ellingson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 43 Giants 18U in hits.

Sheridan had ten hits in the game. #16, #20, and #10 each managed multiple hits for Sheridan. #16 led Sheridan with three hits in four at bats. #20 led Sheridan with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.


Post 43 Giants 18U’s Early Lead Over Gillette Sets Stage For Victory

Post 43 Giants 18U defeated Gillette 8-2 thanks to a strong start. Post 43 Giants 18U scored on a error in the first inning and a groundout by Aaron Moya in the second inning.

Gillette evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when.

Post 43 Giants 18U pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Moya grounded out, scoring one run.

Post 43 Giants 18U tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Evan McHugh, Javen King, and Quentin Bruno powered the big inning with RBIs.

Bruno earned the win for Post 43 Giants Giants 18U. He allowed six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one. Connor Lang threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

#14 toed the rubber for Gillette. He went five innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking zero. #32 and #22 entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Post 43 Giants 18U saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Matt Ellingson, Steven Ashurts, Seth Christiansen, and McHugh each racked up multiple hits for Post 43 Giants 18U. Ellingson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 43 Giants 18U in hits.


Post 43 Giants 18U Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Laramie

Post 43 Giants18U nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-1 victory over Laramie on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Post 43 Giants 18U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Quentin Bruno doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Post 43 Giants 18U was boosted by Nate Fairbanks who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Fairbanks singled in the first, doubled in the third, doubled in the fifth, and homered in the sixth.

Fairbanks led the Post 43 Giants 18U to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out five. Matt Ellingson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

#3 was on the mound for Laramie. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. #10, #8, #11, and #12 each entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings, one inning, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Post 43 Giants 18U totaled nine hits. Fairbanks and Will Walker all collected multiple hits for Post 43 Giants 18U. Fairbanks went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 43 Giants 18U in hits.


Post 43 Giants 18U Takes A Tough Blow From Casper

April 28, 2018

Post 43 Giants 18U couldn’t keep up with Casper and fell 7-1 on Saturday.

Casper evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning when #23 singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Casper pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth #10 singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Casper scored three runs in the sixth inning. Casper’s big inning was driven by a single by #7 and a sac fly by #31.

#4 was on the mound for Casper. He allowed five hits and one run over six innings, striking out two.

Seth Christiansen was on the mound for Post 43 Giants 18U. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four. Evan McHugh threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Quentin Bruno led Post 43 Giants 18U with two hits in two at bats.

Casper tallied eight hits in the game. #4 and #23 all collected multiple hits for Casper.
